Go where the fish go. On Cape Ann switching up locations throughout the day based on the tides, wind direction, and migrating baitfish is the most common method for saltwater fishing in this region. Walking & wading along the beaches, marshes, and brackish rivers is a great way to catch striped bass and many other species.

Freshwater Trips

April - September

Explore Massachusetts’ North Shore beyond the touristy areas, where wildlife is abundant in and out of the water. Largemouth bass, pickerel, bluegills and trout are eager eaters and a blast to catch on the fly and with light tackle. Freshwater lakes, rivers, and ponds are a few of the fishing hot spots accessible by walking & wading.
